My Philosophy
Investors deserve a financial advocate who appreciates their values and their goals.  As an experienced Financial Advisor, that’s why I act as an accountability “coach” to help my clients check items off their bucket lists and, most importantly, get their financial “stuff” organized.  For many years, I’ve been involved in coaching my kids in youth sports and found the joy of watching them succeed and have fun.  This carries into helping my clients when we meet during our periodic reviews.  It brings me joy helping my clients get their financial house in order.  The excitement that comes with scoring a goal in soccer (to me) is like a client getting their trust funded or understanding where to pull the money out of the portfolio first.

I realize there are many choices out there when it comes to your finances, which is why I take your business very seriously.  I want to know and understand your dreams, goals, and needs, so I actively listen to what’s important to you.  While every client’s situation is different, one thing remains the same – putting what’s important to you first and foremost.  Having goals and working toward them is exciting and a core reason why we save and invest.  This is why I offer a full suite of wealth management services to our clients.  As an example, if you have a goal to “SKI” (spending, kids, and inheritance), then we’re here to strive to help you “SKI!”


My Experience
I began my investment industry career in 1996, including eight years with Stone & Youngberg, LLC, prior to it being acquired by Stifel in 2011.  I also spent nearly five years working at the bond desk as a Regional Fixed Income Representative with Charles Schwab, preceded by two years at Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor.  Prior to entering the investment industry, I owned and operated Hutchinson Insurance Agency in the San Francisco Bay Area for six years as a Farmers insurance agent.

In addition, I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., which identifies those individuals who have met the experience requirements of the CFP® Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework, and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination.  I also earned a B.S. in Business Administration – Marketing from California State University at Long Beach and hold Series 7 and 63 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including long-term care and annuities).

Outside the office, I enjoy cycling, swimming, surfing, and being a part of Toastmasters.  I love visiting Hawaii, whale watching, snorkeling, and playing the Ukulele.  I have competed in several events, namely the Death Ride in Markleeville, California, where I biked 130 miles and climbed over a 16,000-foot elevation in one day.  I reside in Pleasant Hill, California, with my wife, Lisa, and our two children.

I have been proudly married for more than 18 years.  I live in Martinez with my husband and our four children.

I joined the Hutchinson Wealth Management Team in 2018.  Prior to that, I earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fresno.  I enjoy spending time with my husband and video calling our daughter, who attends San Diego State University, and our son, who attends Gonzaga University.
